Our Outreach Ministry
Discover how outreach ministry is central to our discipleship. Through our dedication to justice and sharing God's love, we engage in diverse outreach ministries, making a meaningful impact in our community and beyond

Monthly Free Lunchon
Each month, on the first Wednesday, we host a complimentary luncheon in our hall, welcoming all to gather for food and fellowship. Our menu varies monthly, ensuring nourishing options for all. Whether you prefer a sit-down meal or take-out, our luncheons cater to a diverse range of individuals. Interested in volunteering or learning more? Food for Focus
Food for Focus is a collaborative program aimed at providing essential weekend food support to 11 families in Westville. Partnering with Schools Plus and Walter Duggan Elementary School, St. Paul United Church ensures that families in need receive nutritious meals directly to their homes every Friday morning. Our dedicated volunteers handle shopping and packing, ensuring each family receives a variety of essential items tailored to their dietary needs. With an average expenditure of $7 per person per weekend, funding for this vital initiative comes from generous citizens, service groups, businesses, and a Seeds of Hope grant. We are actively seeking additional funding to sustain and expand this pilot project into a permanent program next year. Emma's PJ's
Join us in spreading warmth and comfort through Emma's PJs annual pajama drive, held each December in memory of Emma Pearson. We collect new pajamas for women and children, with the intention of spreading love and comfort to those in need in our community. Your generous contribution helps us deliver a message of comfort, hope, and love to various groups, including Roots for Youth, Viola's Place, Tearmann House, the Pediatric Ward of the Aberdeen Hospital, and the families supported by our Food for Focus program. Thank you for joining us in making a difference, one pair of pajamas at a time.
Pictou County Food Bank
Each week, St. Paul United Church comes together to support the Pictou County Food Bank, reflecting our longstanding commitment to serving those in need within our community. Throughout the year, we stay connected with the food bank to identify their most needed items, making that list available to our congregation. Food items are collected in our Food Bank 'shopping cart' located in the narthex and are then diligently delivered to the food bank by our dedicated volunteers. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who contribute to this vital ministry, helping to provide essential support to individuals and families in need. Your generosity makes a meaningful difference in our community.
